Annie B's Fundraising CampaignIt is Annie B’s time again and there is so much going on at Forest Ranch Charter School this year that we hope you will choose to support one of three current fundraising campaigns. The 2011-12 school year is the 4th for our charter school. State and federal funding continues to decline, but thanks to your support our school continues to grow. We begin this new year with five teachers, aide-time for each classroom, a fully-staffed office and over 100
eager students. Parent and community volunteers continue to be a vital asset to the daily success of the school, logging over five thousand volunteer hours last year. Donation levels increase with each passing year. With the Fox Fund, the Transportation Fund, and the Building Fund to choose between, we hope this year will be our best ever. |
The Fox FundThe Fox Fund is an effort to continue providing lots of hands-on instructional materials and experiences for our students in spite of the continued reductions in school funding. These funds will ensure students are able to explore subjects beyond the standard curriculum through visiting experts, field trips, and engaging classroom supplies.
|
The Transportation FundThe Transportation Fund is vital to the survival of our school. Without students busing from Chico we could not maintain a school in Forest Ranch.
Our busing contractor works with us diligently to manage costs, but busing is approximately $1,000 per year per student. Donations to this fund will offset transportation costs for those families who cannot afford this expense.

The Building FundThe Building Fund will provide for our growth. Our site
has six classrooms. When we are fully enrolled we will need at least eight classrooms, nine if we want to keep our Science Museum. Used portable classrooms, including architect fees and site preparation, cost around $70,000 each and we will need at least two, preferably three. As funding is available we can begin the various stages of expansion. | Tough Times For AllWe hope that the sluggish economy finds you in a position
to consider supporting our school during the Annie B’s Fundraising Campaign. This campaign, managed by the North Valley Community Foundation (NVCF), is extremely valuable to our local non-profit organizations. By providing a percentage match, the NVCF makes your donation during Annie B’s even more valuable. |
