Open Enrollment and Registration

Forest Ranch Charter School is a free, publicly-funded, K-6 elementary school. As a charter school we are dedicated to maintaining a small school with small class-sizes. In order to maintain our intimate setting classes frequently fill and we maintain a waiting list for students not able to enroll right away. When a seat opens up, families on the waiting list will be contacted in order and given 24-hours to enroll their student before the next family on the waiting list is contacted.

Our Open Enrollment period occurs each February. During this time, new and returning students must complete enrollment forms in order to be eligible for placement the following school year. Open enrollment for the 2012/13 school year will occur during February 2012. Enrollment preference is given to returning students and their siblings.

Kindergarten Enrollment

The State of California is changing the age requirements for Kindergarten enrollment. The table at right details by when your child must be five years old to be eligible to enroll for Kindergarten at FRCS.

If your child will be five after the kindergarten enrollment date but before December 2 they are eligible for transitional kindergarten. Students enrolling in transitional kindergarten will attend kindergarten for two years.
