Band and Classroom Music

Jeff Pershing, of the Jeff Pershing Band, is our Band and Classroom Music teacher. Band and Classroom Music is scheduled for Fridays. Pull-out Band is open to students in grades 3 through 6. Students need to own or rent an instrument to participate. There are several music stores in Chico that rent instruments, including Broadway Music Center (345-4222). If your student wants to participate in band but economic hardship precludes your family from providing an instrument please contact Christia Marasco at the school.

Classroom Music is for everyone except Kindergarten, who will have their own program. Recorders will be provided for all students and they will perform at various school events.

Chorale

We are pleased to add chorale to our music program for the 2011-12 school year. Thelmarie Fune, our chorale instructor, is here every Friday morning playing piano and singing with students.
