Community Partner Relationships
Born of budget cuts, FRCS has not yet experienced a normal funding year. State funding for education is currently rolled back to levels seen 25 years ago. Funding inequities between district schools and charter schools worsened during the current recession. Changes to state funding models designed to ease budget challenges for districts favor declining enrollment
schools and punish increasing enrollment schools. Most schools increasing in enrollment are charter schools. A widened revenue gap combined with rising expenses has left FRCS with a budget heart attack.
As CPR can save a human life, Community Partner Relationships (CPR) can save our budget. Building commitments from organizations in the community into our budget eases the strain and retains the educational programs designed to create a successful charter school. The following are line items from our budget that are available for sponsorship by organizations and individuals. Sponsorships shall be recognized on our website and in various publications.
