Open Enrollment for 2012-13 BeginsEach year, returning FRCS students must indicate that they intend to attend FRCS again the following year. These re-enrollment forms, when turned in on time, guarantee a placement for your student for the following year.
New students applying to attend FRCS, to have the best chance of admittance, should complete an application form and submit it to the school office prior to the end of the open enrollment period on February 10, 2012. FRCS is committed to remaining a small school with small class sizes. This means that we have limited space available. Should there be more applications that there are spaces available a lottery will be held on February 14, 2012. For more information on applying, click here. School Acccountability Report PostedEach year in January schools are required to post a School Accountability Report (SARC) which details information for the prior school year. The report for Forest Ranch Charter School is now posted on our website. Click here to go to the SARC page and review our report.

The law states that children under 8 years old must be in a safety seat or booster in the back seat (VC 27360). It goes on to say that children 8 and over must be in a safety seat or booster if the seat belt does not fit properly (VC 27360.5). Proper fit is subjective and unless the child is at least 4' 9" the seat belt may not fit properly. This means that the new policy for FRCS, to ensure parent drivers are protected from unnecessary liability, is that any student not taller than 4" 9" must be in a booster seat in order to participate in a school-sponsored field trip. New! - Breakfast Comes to FRCSFRCS is now offering Second Chance Breakfast. This is a healthy meal provided by the Healthy Lunch & Lifestyle Project, the same folks that bring us our lunches. It is called Second Chance Breakfast because it will be served during 10:00 recess instead of before school. Many of our students either do not eat breakfast because they leave for school so early they are not hungry yet, or they get so hungry in the morning that they eat their lunch during recess. This option fills that void in the day and makes sure all students have the fuel their brains need to keep learning all day long.
